America was riveted by the real life folk-tale of the balloon boy in mid-October, 2009. The story was a throw back to Francois Traffaut’s film, ”The Red Balloon” where in the end; helium balloons carry a little boy away. Traffaut’s film romanced the concept; America’s balloon boy panicked an entire nation.
